Hi is there anywhere I can define the with of the right hand panel in Pho theme - or any other theme for that matter? :)

Yes. You need to edit styles.css that can be found in any theme.
You need to search for side-right and side-left and change the width. :D

I found the

However when changing that the panel does not change for the whole page from top to bottom but only where the specific right hand panel is and there for leave a HUGE gap on top of the middle section of the page :(

This is the space I'm talking about, it's below in between header left and right panels and the upper center panel :|

The right hand panel looks exactly the way I want it to but the space has to go and I have zero clue on what setting to place and where to place it (except going back to default style) to make it go away
