Hello, my names Nick and I've been around the PHPFusion community for about 7 years now. I've accumulated a lot of experience in those days and after a while I began doing freelance work for clients.
Currently I'm looking for more work, and I can most likely fulfill any theme or infusions requests. My past work included integrating a Gaming Private Server into a PHPFusion website, accessories included shops, premium memberships, vote systems, and a bunch of other trinkets.
I just completed a rather complicated project which involved creating a dynamic tournament system with matches, games, disputes, teams, players, essentially a PHPFusion version of gamebattles if you've ever heard of it.
Once again whatever you need I can make it for a price. Bread needs to be put on the table.

45 Euro for a copyright removal license is absurd, especially when no return is given to people who have donated their time and effort to the PHPFusion project through themes and modifications in the last 5 years, if anything it should be free for developers.

I agree that one might expect some in return, given a certain amount of effort, but that is currently not the case, as far as I know, so you will have to either pay or leave the copyright untouched.
Thanks for correcting and I still see input about how we evolve PHPFusion as well worth the effort, or you will probably never pay any license. ;)

That's not my site, and if you notice it's a development website that isn't used. It's going to be deleted by Affliction soon so there's no point in that.
As for my case, only a few pieces I've worked on are located here, they're mainly offsite, but contributions none the less. I also didn't quite understand your second paragraph.
