Reference: http://php-fusion.us/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=291 We are working on an RSS reader infusion.

We would like to implement this, after testing, http://simplepie.org/wiki/faq/what_versions_of_rss_or_atom_do_you_support which is MIT licensed.

Is that OK considering AGPL?

Odd of you to claim that no one seem to know, I for one have not seen the question about it before, regarding your question.

MIT works with AGPL, however a site with a AGPL license will override the MIT if it is an Addon to PHPFusion since it interacts with the system.
It is just like any Theme GFX or similar Addon contributions to PHPFusion that goes under AGPL.
You can´t for example mix licenses and claim that this Infusion is MIT so AGPL does not count, MIT however gives you the right to use the code in just about any environment.

If you still would have issues with licenses or if anything seems unclear, just purchase a CRL a political party that use PHPFusion should not have any issues supporting a CRL.

Thanks, that is what I thought but I have not reviewed any licensing things for quite a while. Since we intend to release this as an Infusion, perhaps after 9, it may be relevant to include information about the MIT parts.

I could of course buy a CRL, but it is my intention to keep the connection to the Open Source community. There are quite a few similarities in how you run a political party and in how you run a community based web site. Endless discussions... :P

That is true indeed,
I am reviewing the License questions forum atm, many threads have similar subjects but the actual questions do differ a lot more than that.
Perhaps the question or similar have been touched before, gonna take a while to go thru it.

Same holds true for BSD License? Last I checked, BSD and GNU GPL were compatible, I assume the same is true for BSD and AGPLv3
