Tried to use Permalinks and got this:

It looks like mod_rewrite is not enabled on your host. Enabling SEF urls might break your website. Please contact your hosting provider about enabling mod_rewrite on your host.

Host contacted. mod_rewrite is enabled by default.

Go php info in your administration - details tab.. CTRL+F (find using browser) and check whether you got mod_rewrite in Apache2handler table.
