This time I started by cleaning up the forum tables ... removed all infusions other than a couple of standard ones ... including shoutbox. Removed some news ... all system error messages ... and a couple of other things. Copied the stable version into the folder together with the Danish language files and ran install.php.

This time (for the first time) I reached the screen, where I could choose among all the infusions. All of them worked. All of them except photoalbum, that gave a lot ... as in a LOT ... of errors.

Went back in the browser, and got a status screen, that looked ok. And clicked "Finish Configuration" ... Result:

I was sent to Google with this string:

https://www.google.dk/?gws_rd=cr,ssl&ei=RZAJWZSDJYydsAGJ_azICQ

And now the site won't open again. It looks like the DB have been upgraded correctly ... config.php the same ... but it's impossible to open the page.

Try running this on users table from phpmyadmin.
UPDATE fusion_users SET user_level = '-103' WHERE fusion_users.user_level = '103'
UPDATE fusion_users SET user_level = '-102' WHERE fusion_users.user_level = '102'
UPDATE fusion_users SET user_level = '-101' WHERE fusion_users.user_level = '101'

It seems as if that user rights upgrade can glitch, we are still not sure why, the procedure is present in the script.

New error in upgrade:

Warning: rename(images/news/,infusions/news/images/): Adgang nægtet. (code: 5) in C:\xampp\htdocs\fusdk_03052017\infusions\news\upgrade\1.11.upgrade.inc on line 130

"Adgang nægtet" means "Access denied"

Old error repeated ... -> https://www.google.dk/?gws_rd=cr,ssl&ei=g7AJWaXWHomwswHSo7iwAQ

Looked into the tables to see if the user_level problem existed her in other fields in forum tables ... and it did

Ok, we need to see what happens to all user rights during the upgrade. I guess this could be a deeper issue in some environments. Not really sure why since all tests passed here.

Perhaps something in the session or tokens but still google redirect should be due to ip ban or user ban.
We will start the work to update Main next week, anything faulty should become more clear in due time depending on how fast we progress.
There is a lot of work to update this site.

Deleted all infusions - also on desk - cleaned up in forums - deleted all tables not standard - and ran the install.php on page. Got way longer than in the last attempt (see attachef file). But now I can't log in to the page (though I changed user_level manually). And we have a lot of character problems. These characters are not changed in the upgrade ...

å - Ã¥
æ - æ
ø - ø
è - é
Æ - æ
Å - Ã…
Ø - Ø

Seems that they can't display properly here, so I attach a file with them as well ... this post only as a contribution to your hard work in the coming days :D

We still don´t use utf-8 here so only English chars work well.
I made a function for database upgrade to tackle issues like this but it was commented out, It consume a lot of resources on large databases.
But you can try it, just increment values with your chars if they don´t exist.

function upgrade_database() {
   dbquery("SET NAMES 'utf8'");
   $result = dbquery("SHOW TABLES");
   while ($row = dbarray($result)) {
      foreach ($row as $key => $table) {
         dbquery("ALTER TABLE ".$table." CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci");
         $result2 = dbquery("SHOW COLUMNS FROM ".$table);
         // We must change all data like find/replace in columns of broken chars, this may differ for each locales.
         // Please help to complete this list if you know what´s missing with your locale set
         while ($column = dbarray($result2)) {
            dbquery("UPDATE ".$table." SET ".$column['Field']." = REPLACE(".$column['Field']." ,'ß','ß')");
            dbquery("UPDATE ".$table." SET ".$column['Field']." = REPLACE(".$column['Field']." ,'ä','ä')");
            dbquery("UPDATE ".$table." SET ".$column['Field']." = REPLACE(".$column['Field']." ,'ü','ü')");

I found a quick and dirty solution on this. Dumped the relevant tables, opened them in Notepad++ and made a search and replace on the characters. That took care of this problem ... B)

Well ... after a LOT (as in A LOT) of work I have now come up with a version of PHPFusion.dk made in version 9.

Only one major problem until now, and that is an old problem: Can't save main_settings after changes. I have reported this before, but nothing has happened here.

I have tried about 10 different themes on my localhost ... none of them works without problems. So this has to be addressed before release. In my humble opinion.
