Hello there,
I want share with my opinion about galley after migation my page from pf7 to pf9.
I have on my page planty of images, couple K. Today i notcie duplicates photos under albums. Iv started compare wtih old page and i notice that old pf7 creating for each album new folder with the same album name like album id and upload there images.

In pf9 all files are uplaoding in only one folder. Now, after migration all photos with the same names was moved to one folder, so i assume that files with the same names are not overwrite and they don exsit there anymore. After that gallery start show dupluicates images in albums becouse there are poting to the same file name.

Its not possible for me manualy fix that.
I personly thing that creating seperate folder for each album was better solution in pf7 then in pf9.

Regards.

Yes, I fully agree that it was a misstake to root all files. However, we have realised this and put it in Dev Plan since a while back , https://www.php-fusion.co.uk/infusion...ost_206425

It's still possible if you have old backup.

I have good news for you, it will be fixed in the next update 9.03.100. You can also use the latest photo from the album as album thumbnail.

PHPFusion v9.03.110 actually made it possible to get a gallery broken down into albums as in PHPFusion 7/8.
Unfortunately - there were some errors:
1. The album thumbnail was created from the first photo in the album, but it was also converted into a thumbnail, losing its original size.
2. Single photos from other albums still appear in albums.
3. The "search" function does not search the gallery properly.

1. there is new feature that allows to use first photo as album thumbnail

2. yes, i didn't move them to own folder because it can cause a lot of problems but new albums will already be in folders. Also it's easy for upgrade just move everything from old v7 folder into new one and that's it.

3. I think I fixed something with gallery search

I find searching the Gallery to be inaccurate. For example, the results show "19 pictures matching your search criteria", but the display shows 2-3 (unnecessarily in full resolution instead of thumbnails - as it was in v.7/8) and the link to the rest of the searched photos does not work.
Example (sorry - in Polish):
