On the home page, is there a way for visitors to view the specific images posted within the content of each news item, either in the snippet or the extended, instead of the standard icon for the category? We would like something similar to the view displayed by blog postings on the front page.

We are using a fresh install of version 9.03.110 and the Magazine theme on a new server.

I have no idea what you want.. Blog and News are almost the same.

On the home page, it always checks
1. if first thumbnail exists,
2. then second thumbnail,
3. main image,
4. if there is no image, it uses the category image

Also, if there is no category image it use "Image not found" image.

Every news item we posted has at least one image, either located in the Snippet or the main section of the news article. Yet below you can see an image of what the general public gets to see on our "Home Page" when not logged in.

We would like for them to see the image that belongs to the news article and NOT the ICON.

Even when we open up the news article, the "category" icon appears next to the image that we have including at the top of the news article.

I hope this explains our situation better.
Thanks
