FlashChat is a simple, customizable chat room that anyone can add to their website. It includes support for multiple chat forums, administrative controls, and over a dozen IRC-like options. FlashChat was one of the original (maybe THE original) Flash-based chatrooms on the web when it was first introduced in 1999 using Flash 5 technology. Since then, it has grown to a much more complex and customiable system, and uses Flash MX technology, with PHP/MySQL to run the backend engine.

The real beauty of FlashChat is that it can be integrated easily into commonly used cms packages, including PHPFusion. It's extremely easy to install and offers tons of useful features. FlashChat is available now for the small sum of $5 (about Â£2.75).
