MySQL server has gone away

I have been recieving this alot lately here... the first time i went into the cvs to look at global.php and got that error there.
then from there i went to search (going to search for error checking on)and got the error.
the browsed a few threads that caught my eye, and got the same error.
Not sure if its servage, my ISP (Wireless-live in basement), or maybe some buggy code in the core v6.00.400 thats the only reason why i am saying this.
edited -> our it could actually be because i am downloading the open share source of mechcommander2.
