PHPFusion allows photos to be uploaded through the admin panel.

Can the same be done for documents for the downloads section?

I have a number of users who edit content using php-fusion.
They are obviously not given FTP access - the reason for using PHPFusion is to prevent them having to do this and allowing a login easy to use content managed system.

They have a need to upload documents and place links on articles or custom pages, or place in the downloads page.

Uploading images and linking to them is really neat in PHPFusion and allows a managed front end to do the uploading and provides drop down lists for adding the links.

Is there a facility to do this for other file types that I have missed?

Cpanel is a great panel for file managing. If your host have this you can login it like this: www.yoursite.com:2082
If your host have plesk you can login it like this: www.yoursite.com:8443
If your host have not any panel maybe they are have own panel. Contact your host and learn more;)

These are not working
which may be my host not using them or
my work network blocking the ports (FTP is blocked)

Either way, the request is for an easy to use interface for customers/users to use when using the PHPFusion content management system to maintain their websites

They can currently upload images, create custom pages, artciles, add links to images
all brilliant stuff

I guess the file upload facility is not currently built in ?

:)
