Hi,

When I send a message at the "Contact me" page, where does it go?

In the main settings, I've put my email address at "Site e-mail address", but it doesn't work for the "Contact me" page.

So what do I have to do?

Thanks,
Patrick

no idea what gozoc wants you do in the locale. the email address that the form is mailed to is the one speciffied in main settings. If it does not work, the mailserver of your host may be down (-> do email notifications and registration-mails work?).

My mail is good (hotmail).
I've just sent a message to myself at hotmail.

But with the "contact me", it doesn't work.

Also, it's the same for "Private message". I send a private message to myself, but the inbox stay empty.

!?!?!

I was talking about other email features of the site like the forum thread notification mail or when registering with email-verification enabled? If your site does not send any mail, it's definitely your host's mailserver.

How can I check if "form thread notification" and "email-verification" are enabled?

Why it would be my host's mailserver? I use my hotmail address, not the mailserver of my host.

You can check by enabling email verification in registration settings and registering a new account.
so you use the smtp settings? does hotmail even support smtp? does it support unencrypted smtp?

When I register a new user, it says
"Registration Failed
Send mail failed, please contact the Site Administrator."

This have to do with my host? If yes, why? It use the mailserver of my host to send emails?

And why I don't see the private message I sent to myself?
Same thing? host's mailserver?

Why would I use smtp settings? I don't need that, do I ?

you said you use hotmail for the mail, so i presumed you use smtp as this is the only way to use other servers for mailing, but you do not need that, no.
By default, the mailsever of your host sends all mails that are sent with PHP. As it does not work, the mailserver of your host is down or misconfigured => Contact your host about it.

You can't send yourself messages.

I got this reply from my host :

"Hi there, php mail() is enabled on your account. Mails can take up to 20 minutes to leave our systems, due to spam filtering. If mail is not then received (after 30 minutes) , it will be remote spam filters that are dropping the mails (which we can not do anything about) . We provide the free php mail() service on the free accounts, on a best effort basis, and can not guarantee mail delivery."

So, maybe my host think that it's spam?

My host wrote me again :

"Hi there, in your fusion configuration , please ensure yoyu are set to use php mail (of local mail / sendmail) , and NOT smtp ."

Where can I specify that?
