I've checked through the forums and searched for the answer to this but still not found it.
Any ways, I have a problem with my website, when ever I try to upload a photo it keeps saying

"Invalid Image File Name"

Please reply asap if you know what's wrong cause this problem is really annoying.
I've tried uploading JPEG, PNG and GIF files and I don't seem to be able to upload any of them with ou the site saying this.

do you have special characters or spaces in your file names?

Is the problem uploading images in the admin panel (images, like for news),
or do you mean gallery uploads?

If it is the gallery, check if you have a gd version running on your server.

Yes, we know you have problem with the gallery. We read that in your first post.

Have you tried what bmonkey wrote? Please give us some more information.

And (like already suggested) - go to your sites Adminpanel->system-> phpinfo and check what version of GD you have on your server (GD1 or GD2 compatible)
If it's not GD2 compatible, you need to change it to GD1 in photo gallery settings.
You also might want to change the allowed file size for your images to something a bit larger (default 150000 bytes)

Then try uploading a small jpg or gif image (with no whitespaces or funny characters in the file name)

And while your at it: make sure all required files and folders are CHMOD 777.

Hope this solves your problem, my friend.

No still got the problem, I changed to GD1, and images sizes I changed to 4MB. CHMOD all done and double checked and I have no spaces in the name.
What comes up:

"The following error has occured:
Invalid image filename."

Is the file name in use? Is the photo name in use?

I think it doesn't mean the name of the image but the filename of the image .jpg etc
