I added the "Gbx" filetype on 'System Settings' -> 'Forum' and my visitors are still not able to upload .Gbx files.

The filesize is not the problem because the limit is 1.5MB while .Gbx files are never bigger then 250kb.

Test is yourself, download this file and try to upload it to your fusion website:

Could be the double dots in the file name which could be interpreted as a double extension which some hackers might use to try to uplaod malicious scripts to the server. Try to replace the first dot by an underscore (_).

99.9% of all .Gbx files have multiple dots in it. Renaming the files is not an option. Other solution???

must be lowercase ,.gbx

Other solution, hhmm zip it other than that i don't think there is any other solution

No solution? There must be some reason why PHPFusion does not accept filenames with multiple dots while phpbb, php-nuke, simplemachines and all other do accept it.

Should I go to the modding forums?

i think muscapaul answered that question in his post why you can't do this in PF

There definitly is a bug. Even when I remove all dots and when I add .Gbx and/or .gbx to the list, users still can't upload .gbx files.

well on my test site with PF7 it works
i added .gbx
renamed the Endless_Domination.Challenge.Gbx to Endless_Domination_Challenge.Gbx
and then it works

you only need to remove the first dot not the last dot, if you do that the file has no .gbx extension

You defnitely cannot have more than one dot in the file name or extensions with that are not upper or lower case. If you make the extension .gbx and add that to the list of allowed files types you will be okay. See the present attachment. BTW: The .gbx for this site has already been removed.
