Users that tried to register with my site; www.thewhitecross.org do not get the activation emails.

I have verified the setting is correct as far as allowing user's to activate via email.

And other areas that I should check to get this to work? I am fairly new at this CMS. Also, I replicated the problem this morning.

Thanks in advance

I also have this issue alone with users having gone thru the process of registering and no account have been created. I even created a test account and was unable to duplicate this on my site.

Does your hosting provider has sendmail enabled?
If not you probably have to use your SMTP mail account...

Thanks. I saw your "shouts" at my site too. I'll backup the DB and re-load the package.

Appreciate your time helping me out.

The receiving mail address have nothing to do with the sendmail function (unless specifically defined that no e-mails should be processed to *.hotmail.com). It is all in the server. Settings, potentially banned domains, etc... After that it user-wise.

If sendmail works with one e-mail it will work with all.

Some hosts require you to have an e-mail registered with your domain (e-mail@domain.com) in order to even be able to use the sendmail. I have one of those. Its sensible spam control.
