Being an Admin is no guarantee for having success during the first attempt to upgrade a site. :|

I did as it said in the readme:
1. Backup
2. Run upgrade.php (all 4 steps, successfuly!)
3. Copied all v7 files except _config.php and setup.php

Then I downloaded and copied up all the Danish Locale files

So, my site only showed this error:

Quote

Fatal error: Call to undefined function hide_email() in /mounted-storage/home94c/sub008/sc35044-WQRT/darts.dk/locale/Danish/global.php on line 160

Maybe the Danish locale, I then thought, and changed the language in the settings table to "English" using phpMyAdmin.
Same error appears; only with "English" in the path:

Quote

Fatal error: Call to undefined function hide_email() in /mounted-storage/home94c/sub008/sc35044-WQRT/darts.dk/locale/English/global.php on line 160

I could only find one other thread with the same error, and that seemed not to be the problem after all.

What puzzles me is that there is no reference to any function hide_email() in that file. It's a locale, and it only contains definitions of variables; the local texts...

I am out of ideas.
Anybody have some they want to share with me?

I compared all my root files, and suddenly I noticed that maincore.php was not updated with the new v7 version. It had an old date on it and an odd size.
When I copied the v7 version, all works!

Very strange. I use Total Commander as FTP tool. I copied all the root files in one go. I even did it several times.
I have no idea how this one file can have slipped out of being updated.

Try reuploading maincore.php and the local file.

Edit: you fixed it already.

I noticed that using FTP in the evening on working days is significantly different from using in e.g. in the morning.
I assume that "peak hours" exists for the servers, where other customers use FTP at the same time.
This morning I had no problems at all.
