I am working on a site where we get content from different sources and at different dates. It is however pretty important to be able to sort the articles and the default sorting is currently just something we want to override. We have chosen to use articles instead of Custom pages, due to security issues and to have some kind of default linking and categorizing.

Want to be able to list articles regardless of ID or posting date, an example would be the way we can list menu items, "seamless reorder".

Have anyone come across this and sorted it somehow?

As usual, when it comes to sites I make, core code editing is banned.
