To answer your question, it is possible. there is another cms identical to fusion which has a plugin for android and an app to take advantage of plugin... I just switched to this cms for many reasons (mobile plugin was not a reason :))

Here you have XHTML mod for modern mobiles:

This infusion displays some of the site content in modern mobile phones.

This mod pulls out the following content from the site database and export it using XHTML (eXtensible HyperText Markup Language):
