I have uploaded all the php files to my root file, did all the permisions, set up mysql and all that jazz. When I go to my my site, redirected to news.php, there is nothing. Just a blank page. I tried www.myname.com/login.php and still nothing.

I am totally lost and don't know what to do.... HELP!

1] Have you renamed "blank_config.php" to "config.php"? (CHMOD 777)

2] Have you used "setup.php" and successfully installed your site? Seems you might have skippet a thing or two here, my friend.

Check the readme carefully, so you do things in the right order. There's allso a very good handbook that you find under downloads at this site. Very usefull if this is your first time installing Php-Fusion.

Yes, I have read and followed the readme. I have deleted everything and installed it 3 times thus far. I CHMODed everything like the readme said. Deleted setup and changed config.php back to 644. I was able to do the setup just fine; I put in all my host, username, database information and that went fine. When I goto my site, it automaticaly redirects me to /news.php but there is nothing on the page. There isn't even any source code.

I also checked with my host (a paid one!) and php is enabled. (Note: From my host's account I can set up a bbphp board and it works!! But not the PHPFusion)

One thing I don't understand is what is Apache and do I need it? It's a server correct? But isn't that what my database is for?

Do you need my site?

You did not enconter any errormessage(s) during setup (writecheck and so on passed)?

Can you log inn at your database admintool (most likely you use phpMyAdmin) and check that the tables for php-fusion are made?

No, I didn't encounter any error messages during setup. I cannot login, there isn't anything on my login page. No source code at all.

When I got phpMyAdmin, all the tables for phpfusion are there.

Also, when using my FTP to load the files, I get an error message saying that

[19:51:21] Remote file exist check: "forum_threads_list_panel.php".
[19:51:21] TYPE I

[19:51:21] File size check (SIZE) failed. File not found or permission denied.

Why is permission denied? What is file size check, and why did it fail?

I must ask, did the site at one point work, and you did a restore on the inf settings? If so Im having that same problem, had to create a new db and redo set up. Then restore the site, one field at a time. Took forever. In my opinion that is an oversite on the db_backup.php file that needs to be corrected.

Problem is, some things still arent showing up. For example, the fusion_arcade system did work perfectly but now, when it goes to hiscore.php to record the score its a blank page. Samething with the db_backup.php. It saves the results, but displays a blank page. So, I am very eager to here the answer to this topic myself. I have looked at the coding and can not really find the problem. Im assuming that it is in the maincore.php file but that is just a theory and not yet a fact.

Can I ask you which host you use, because I have had nothing but problems and can't even get to setup, all I get is an index page, I admit that I am new to this but I am learning how to do it, but no matter how many times I have loaded the files I still can't get it working.
