The users can send private message without Subject, and recipient cant read it, cos there is no link for the title (subject).

It have to be changed to auto-generated (No Subject) or to be required field, also and for the message.

Message body - can be empty (but must be required)
Message title (aka subject) - can be empty

Yeah, I've noticed that you can send a message without a subject. I also agree there needs to be error proofing there (or for it to generate something there like "No Subject" like my webmail client does.

i am a big problem too...i have installed user info panel mod and shoutbox...all works correctly except private messages are not working anymore when i click inbox private messages on user info panel and pm on forum the server crash and obviously nothing works..i have tried also to back to original files but no success...any help? i have last version...the problem appear after last security patch that include forum modifies.

still remain in latest, user X can send private message to user Y with no text for SUBJECT, and the user Y, cant read it (cos there is no link, no tile).

This field have to be REQUIRED, or with auto-generation text like No Subject...

Wrong place man, this thread is for Core bug, no mods or hacks...

You should use messages.php file from v6.01.2. It should be work!

rather not, is there a someone member of the dev team who will take care of this nasty bug ?

Is it so hard to prevent from sending a message without Subject line, or to auto-generate it ?
