In an attempt to prevent any further dispute, I wish to clarify a few things regarding similarities between PHPFusion and a German CMS, entitled @CMS. Around 3 months ago, before PHPFusion began to grow, Chris Higgins approached me asking if he could remove my copyright as he had translated it and heavily modded it. Stupidly, I agreed only to discover that in fact he had renamed PHPFusion to @CMS.
Thus followed lengthy discussions after which it was agreed that Chris would produce a German cms based on the core of RV2, no further code from PHPFusion was to be used and credit would be given to me and PHPFusion. I was led to believe this agreement was being honoured. Unfortunately, no credit was ever given to me or PHPFusion. I was not aware of this until yesterday.
I am dealing with this, please dont make things any more difficult by needlessly attacking any sites using @CMS, they are not to blame and do not deserve any mistreatment. The only two people at fault are me for stupidly agreeing to any deal in the first place, and to Chris for failing to credit me or our PHPFusion community. I'm grateful for having such a supportive community and I thank you. Let us move forward and look to the future, don't look back in anger, there's too much war in the world as it is, let us not bring it online.
