The proposed release of the Mod DB has been shelved due to a number of issues raised by the team over at PHPFusion Mods. As far as I am aware the issue of having multiple Mod DB sites has been widely discussed. Whilst there are many pros and cons for both situations, the overall consensus was to have the one database with multi-language support. The most prominent reason for this is so that all of the mods are in a central location, which has been the aim of PHPFusion Mods from the start.
Every mod, mod description, mod page etc will eventually be available in every language (selected by user) and that user can easily download the mod and post feedback either at PHPFusion Mods or at their local support site in their own language. I have to agree that I do think this is the right direction to go in, despite some disagreements from a small minority. I will continue to monitor the situation, but the team at PHPFusion Mods have my complete and utter support. I hope this statement clarifies our goal. Thanks.
