As some of our regular members may have noticed, we've recently been inundated with spam user accounts. These are accounts with commercial links to various goods and services that are only created to try and get some free advertising. These also include supposed "medical" support sites.
We are discussing ways of keeping these guys out without making if difficult for genuine people to register and post.
There is a zero tolerance for these kind of accounts and they will be immediately banned and/or blacklisted regardless of whether they post in the forums or not. The staff have enough to be doing without having to check each and every profile link to see if it's on the level. Genuine members have nothing to worry about as long as you don't have www.buymycheesyproducts.com in your profile.
The profile link is there for members to show their own site or a helpful resource site for the community. We are not here to make money for people!
